Overview
Moment is a reflective calendar experience that is personalized, engaging, and celebrates each user’s individuality by recording both the essential and small moments of their life. Although our deliverables focused mainly on phone-based designs, we did create a design ecosystem which featured a desktop and apple watch component. Designed for Interface Design 2 at the University of Washington with a team of 6 people under the moniker T/2 Studio.
work distribution
I worked on the motion teaser video (as seen above), the primary interaction model, and functioned as the main organizer of the team as we worked throughout the quarter. I also helped design some elements such as widgets and page arrangements, as well as prototyping.
COLOR OF THE DAY
The “Color of the Day” widget allows users to personalize their interface by selecting a color that represents their emotions and experiences for the day. This allows users to visually capture their daily moods and events. Over time, they can create a simple color diary to reflect and understand their emotional journey.
QUESTION OF THE DAY
The “Question of the Day" widget presents users with a thought-provoking question that encourages contemplation and emotional expression. To enhance personalization, users can select a sticker of their choice.
MEMORIES
The “Memories” tab is a way to view and celebrate the user's past. Through data visualizations, they can see key statistics from the past week. The daily view allows them to relive what they were doing each day through seeing their reflection answers, or key events from their calendar.
LOGO ANIMATION
One of my favorite things that I got to do was this logo animation. One of my groupmates created the logo and brand mark, but we wanted to include it in the teaser. As the main animator, I really wanted everything to move, so I brainstormed this quick transition for our logo.
FInal Deliverable
For our final day of class, we had to showcase our work in a final presentation deck complete with video call outs and detailed explanations of the user experience. This project was the largest team I've worked with so far in a class, and overall, I'm very proud of the work we accomplished.
